Aliens Colonial Marines Custom Dropship Gunship Weyland Yutani USCM Alien

I’ve designed and painted this custom gunship as an Aliens-inspired piece, drawing on the heavy machinery and battered industrial finish of the Colonial Marines universe.

The finish is where much of my work goes. Sand-coloured armour, blue-grey panels and worn pale engine housings give the ship distinct sections, with washes worked into the recesses to bring out its mechanical depth. Chipped edges, dark streaks, metallic highlights and grime around the engines and weapons create the impression of a working gunship that has seen repeated deployment.

I’ve paid particular attention to the balance between wear and detail. The weathering follows panel edges, joins and exposed machinery, allowing the underlying paint scheme to remain clear. From the cockpit framing to the missile pods and gun barrels, there are smaller details to discover when you look closely.

The price reflects that individual painting and finishing work: the layered surfaces, carefully picked-out mechanisms and decisions made across the whole piece to give it a consistent, believable character.

An independently customised, Aliens-inspired piece, rather than a screen-accurate replica. Figures are not included.
