Imperial Starfighter Andor Mandalorian Sith Empire collectible Star Wars Custom

£159.00

When I started, I wanted this version to feel colder and more Imperial than the previous build, almost like an experimental interceptor that had come straight out of a black-project hangar and then been flown hard.

I kept the colour palette deliberately restrained, working with charcoal, gunmetal and darker metallic tones rather than adding large areas of colour. The small blue, red and metallic details are there just to break up the surface and draw your eye into the mechanical areas without taking away from the shape of the craft.

The whole piece has been worked over with layered washes, scuffs, scratches, rubbed edges and metallic highlights. I’ve varied the weathering across the panels rather than treating everything the same, with heavier wear around the wing edges, weapons, engines and exposed sections where I imagined the surface would naturally take more punishment.

The long central cannons were one of the main things I wanted to emphasise on this build. They give the fighter a much more threatening profile, while the additional wing-mounted weapons make it feel like something designed specifically for hunting rather than simply escort duty.

I also spent a lot of time picking out the smaller mechanical details, vents, weapon housings and cockpit areas. There are subtle changes in tone across the armour that become much more noticeable when the light catches the surface, particularly around the worn edges and recessed panel lines.

The overall idea was to create something that still immediately belongs in the Star Wars universe, but feels unfamiliar enough that you could imagine it appearing for a few seconds in Andor, Rogue One or The Mandalorian and wondering exactly what you had just seen.
