Aliens Colonial Marines Custom Gunship Weyland Yutani collectible

I’ve painted and detailed this Aliens Colonial Marines gunship in red and dark grey, with yellow warning panels and weathering across the armour, weapons and exposed machinery.

The gunship includes an LED light kit, shown illuminated in red, blue and green in the photographs. The light picks out the underside and recessed mechanical details, adding to the atmosphere when the piece is lit in a darkened room.

I’ve worked washes into the panel lines, built up grime around the machinery and added chips, scuffs and metallic wear along exposed edges. The large armour panels have variations in the finish, while the cannons and missile pods have been individually detailed so they carry the same wear as the rest of the gunship.

The painting takes time because these details need to work together. I want you to be able to turn the piece around and keep finding work that isn’t obvious in the main photograph.
