Aliens USCM Colonial Marines Weyland Yutani Dropship Vintage Collectible

I’ve taken this dropship away from the usual dark military finish and pushed it much closer to the industrial world of Aliens, using a worn Weyland-Yutani colour scheme built around aged off-white armour, yellow identification panels and dark mechanical sections.

The entire piece has been designed and painted by me, with layered washes, panel lining, chipped edges, scuffs, grime and subtle metallic wear used to break up the surfaces and give it the feel of a working Colonial Marines craft rather than a clean factory finish. Weyland-Yutani markings, hazard details and the numbered panels tie the whole design together, while the cockpit, weapons, vents and engine areas have been individually picked out to give the ship much more depth when viewed from different angles.

The weathering is deliberately controlled rather than excessive, so the detailing and strong white-and-yellow scheme remain the focus while still giving the craft a used, lived-in appearance.
