GI Joe Cobra Custom Assault Craft Vintage Collectible

Cobra’s taste for oversized weaponry runs through this custom GI Joe assault craft, from the low armoured bow to the raised twin cannons at the rear. I’ve given it a dark metallic finish with purple accents, keeping the machinery prominent and the overall appearance well suited to Cobra’s arsenal.

The crowded gun deck is where much of the painting work sits. Dark washes separate the weapon mounts, pipes and recessed panels, while metallic highlights bring out the barrel edges and mechanical fittings. I’ve kept the purple details restrained so they sit within the worn metalwork.

Across the hull, scuffed edges and chipped paint suggest repeated use. The broad front section has a rubbed, exposed-metal appearance, with darker grime around the machinery. That variation helps each section read clearly instead of disappearing into one solid dark colour.

I pictured this piece providing heavy covering fire during a Cobra coastal raid. The forward guns and elevated rear weapons give it the excessive firepower that makes Cobra equipment such an enjoyable subject to work on.
