RoboCop ED-209 Police Robot Mech Custom Vintage Collectible

I designed and painted this piece around the brutal industrial look of the RoboCop universe, taking inspiration from the heavy mechanical engineering and dystopian police hardware associated with ED-209.

The original finish has been completely reworked using layered airbrush and hand-painted techniques. I’ve built up worn metal, grime, washes, chipped edges, mechanical staining and subtle tonal variation across the armour, while individually picking out the exposed machinery, weapon systems, vents and smaller engineering details.

The yellow and orange identification markings were added to break up the dark industrial finish, along with police-style graphics and numbering to push the piece further into that battered near-future law-enforcement aesthetic. The weathering is deliberately uneven, giving different panels and mechanical areas their own history rather than applying one repeated effect across the whole piece.

This is a individually designed and painted one-off, with the colour scheme, markings and weathering created specifically for this piece.
