Star Wars Clone Wars 501st Custom Republic Shuttle Vintage Collectible

A compact Republic shuttle with enough weaponry to defend its passengers, this custom Star Wars piece pairs blue squadron markings with worn grey armour, exposed engines and twin missile launchers. I pictured it carrying a 501st detachment between a Republic cruiser and the fighting below.

The rounded hull gave me room to build variation into the paintwork. I’ve worked darker washes into the panel joins, added scuffs along exposed edges and broken up the grey with blue sections and warmer metallic trim. The wear around the boarding areas helps suggest regular use by armoured troops.

Along the sides, the engine assemblies have individually picked-out pipes, bands and fittings. Metallic highlights bring those components forward, while deeper shading separates the machinery beneath the hull. The pale missile housings contrast with their dark launch tubes, making the weapons a distinct part of the finish.

The opening rear ramp and accessible two-seat cockpit add interest beyond the exterior. You can arrange the shuttle ready for boarding, with the crew seated up front and troops gathering at the rear.
