Star Wars Custom Imperial Assault Walker Vintage Collectible

Twin missile pods frame the cockpit of this custom Star Wars Imperial assault walker, giving it the firepower to lead an attack on a Rebel position. Weathered armour, exposed machinery and yellow hazard markings give it the appearance of equipment deployed far from the Empire’s spotless command ships.

I wanted the finish to suggest a machine maintained in a field workshop. Dark washes sit deep around the joints and beneath the armour, while metallic scuffs pick out the exposed edges. Orange accents along the arms and yellow rings around the legs break up the dark hull without hiding the mechanical detail.

The missile launchers dominate the front. I’ve shaded the individual tubes and worn their surrounding housings, carrying the same treatment into the cockpit framing. Below them, the pistons, cables and leg assemblies have been individually detailed to separate the closely packed components.

The opening canopy reveals the pilot compartment, while the rear has large vents and exposed mechanisms with their own shading and wear. I’ve carried the painting around the whole piece so there’s as much to examine behind the walker as there is around its weapons.
