Star Wars Custom Rebel Shuttle Vintage Collectible

Recovering downed Rebel pilots was the role I had in mind for this custom Star Wars shuttle. Orange markings run around the cockpit, doors and fins, linking the finish to the flight suits of the Rebellion’s pilots against a weathered grey hull.

I’ve kept the orange clearly defined while building wear into the surrounding armour. Dark washes trace the panel joins, metallic scuffs catch the exposed edges, and changes in the grey give neighbouring sections a slightly different appearance. Around the cockpit, the fine framing and recessed vents needed close brushwork to keep them distinct.

The opening side doors reveal the crew space and a substantial mounted cannon. That weapon gives the rescue role some bite: I pictured the shuttle holding its position while a stranded pilot climbs aboard. Its barrel and mounting have a darker mechanical finish, contrasting with the lighter entrance panels.

At the rear, I’ve picked out the three engine exhausts and shaded the surrounding housings. The weathering continues around the lower hull and boarding areas, giving the piece the used, maintained appearance that suits Rebel equipment.
