Star Wars TIE Fighter Custom Battle Worn Imperial Starfighter

I’ve designed and painted this custom Star Wars TIE Fighter with a dark, weathered metallic finish, giving it the appearance of an Imperial craft worn down by years of service.

I’ve worked across the cockpit, wing frames and mechanical sections with layered washes, scuffed edges and metallic highlights. Dark shading settles into the recesses, while lighter wear picks out the raised details and gives the machinery greater depth.

The finish shifts between smoky grey, dark metal and muted brown tones. This variation breaks up the larger surfaces and gives the armour a used, uneven appearance. Around the cockpit and wing connections, the detailing draws attention to the construction of the craft.

My aim was to create a TIE Fighter with a heavier industrial character, using the paintwork and weathering to suggest its history. There are details to appreciate close up, while the contrasting wing panels and worn metallic framework give it a strong overall presence.
