Star Wars Y Wing

My Star Wars Y-Wing collection explores custom-painted starfighters based around individual characters, pilots, squadrons and factions from Star Wars The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, Rogue One, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Andor, The Mandalorian and the wider Star Wars universe.

I design and paint individual Y-Wings themed around characters including Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, Wedge Antilles, Biggs Darklighter, Jon Dutch Vander, Davish Pops Krail, Dex Tiree, Garven Dreis, Admiral Ackbar, Nien Nunb, Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, General Dodonna, Admiral Raddus, General Draven, Crix Madine, R2-D2 and C-3PO.

The Clone Wars provides a huge range of possibilities for my custom Y-Wing designs, featuring Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, Commander Cody, Commander Wolffe, Commander Bly, Commander Gree, Fives, Echo, Jesse, Hardcase, Kix, Tup, Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Mace Windu, Yoda, Aayla Secura, Luminara Unduli, Barriss Offee, Shaak Ti, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Adi Gallia, Saesee Tiin, Admiral Yularen, Padmé Amidala, Bo-Katan Kryze and Duchess Satine Kryze.

I also explore designs based around Star Wars Rebels characters including Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, Garazeb Zeb Orrelios, Chopper, Captain Rex, Commander Sato, Agent Kallus, Wedge Antilles, Hobbie Klivian, Fenn Rau, Hondo Ohnaka, Cham Syndulla, Ryder Azadi, Ursa Wren, Tristan Wren and Ahsoka Tano.

Rogue One and Andor provide further inspiration through Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, K-2SO, Bodhi Rook, Chirrut Îmwe, Baze Malbus, Saw Gerrera, Galen Erso, Bistan, Pao, Benthic Two Tubes, Edrio Two Tubes, Luthen Rael, Kleya Marki, Vel Sartha, Cinta Kaz, Bix Caleen, Brasso, Ruescott Melshi, Kino Loy and Karis Nemik.

I also create alternative Y-Wing designs based around Imperial, Sith, bounty hunter and Mandalorian characters, including Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Darth Maul, Count Dooku, General Grievous, Asajj Ventress, Orson Krennic, Moff Gideon, Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Din Djarin, Bo-Katan Kryze, Cad Bane, Bossk, Dengar, IG-88, Fennec Shand, Aurra Sing, Pre Vizsla and Gar Saxon.

My custom paint schemes also explore Gold Squadron, Red Squadron, Phoenix Squadron, Shadow Squadron, the Rebel Alliance, the Galactic Republic, the 501st Legion, the 212th Attack Battalion, the 104th Wolfpack, the Separatist Alliance, the Galactic Empire, the New Republic and the Resistance.

Each Y-Wing is individually designed and painted by me, with colours, markings and weathering chosen to reflect its character or faction. I use layered airbrushing, hand-painted mechanical detailing, panel variation, chipped paint, battle damage, engine staining, oil streaks and accumulated grime to give each ship its own history and personality.

I welcome commissions for Star Wars Y-Wings, whether you want a design based around a favourite Jedi, clone trooper, Rebel pilot, Mandalorian, bounty hunter, Imperial commander or an entirely original character. I can design and paint personalised colour schemes and markings to create something different from the standard factory finish.

Thanks for looking, Josh.
