Star Wars Custom Vehicles & Dioramas

Explore my collection of custom-painted Star Wars vehicles, spacecraft, starfighters, walkers, transports and dioramas. I individually design and paint each piece, transforming familiar Star Wars vehicles through distinctive colour schemes, detailed weathering, battle damage, panel variation, mechanical detailing and carefully chosen markings.

My collection covers the entire Star Wars universe, from the Original Trilogy and Prequel Trilogy to The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Rogue One, Andor, The Bad Batch, the Sequel Trilogy and the wider Star Wars Expanded Universe and Legends.

Custom Star Wars Character-Themed Vehicles

One of my favourite approaches is to create custom spacecraft and vehicles around individual Star Wars characters. I use their costumes, armour, colours, personal markings, allegiances and histories to develop a distinctive design.

For example, I can create a Boba Fett TIE Fighter using the colours and weathering of his Mandalorian armour, a Darth Maul Imperial Shuttle using Sith colours and markings, or a Captain Rex AT-ST reflecting the armour and identity of the legendary Clone Trooper.

Other designs can explore Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, Din Djarin, Bo-Katan Kryze, Jango Fett, Cad Bane, General Grievous, Commander Cody, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.

The idea is to turn an existing Star Wars spacecraft or ground vehicle into something that visually represents a particular character, faction or story.

Galactic Empire, Sith and Imperial Forces

My custom Star Wars collection explores the Galactic Empire and its characters, including Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Grand Moff Tarkin, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Director Orson Krennic, General Veers, Admiral Piett, Admiral Ozzel, Moff Gideon, Agent Kallus, Iden Versio, Del Meeko, Gideon Hask and Imperial TIE Fighter Pilots.

The Sith and dark side characters include Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Darth Sidious, Darth Revan, Darth Malak, Darth Nihilus, Darth Bane, Darth Sion, Starkiller, Kylo Ren, Supreme Leader Snoke, Grand Inquisitor, Second Sister, Fifth Brother, Seventh Sister, Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati.

My Imperial designs can include TIE Fighters, TIE Interceptors, TIE Bombers, TIE Defenders, TIE Advanced, TIE Strikers, TIE Reapers, Imperial Shuttles, AT-AT Walkers, AT-ST Walkers, Imperial Troop Transports, Star Destroyers and other Imperial spacecraft.

Rebel Alliance and New Republic Characters

The Rebel Alliance provides another range of characters and designs, including Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, Wedge Antilles, Biggs Darklighter, Admiral Ackbar, Mon Mothma, Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, K-2SO, Chirrut Îmwe, Baze Malbus, Bodhi Rook and Saw Gerrera.

Star Wars Rebels characters include Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, Garazeb Zeb Orrelios, Chopper and Jacen Syndulla.

Vehicles associated with the Rebel Alliance include X-Wing Fighters, Y-Wing Fighters, A-Wing Fighters, B-Wing Fighters, Snowspeeders, Millennium Falcon, Ghost, Phantom, Rebel Transports, U-Wing Gunships and blockade runners.

I enjoy reworking these designs with individual squadron markings, worn military finishes, character-themed colours and evidence of long campaigns across the galaxy.

Clone Wars, Jedi and Republic Vehicles

My custom work also explores the Galactic Republic and the Clone Wars, including characters such as Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Yoda, Mace Windu, Qui-Gon Jinn, Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Aayla Secura, Shaak Ti, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Luminara Unduli and Barriss Offee.

The Clone Troopers include Captain Rex, Commander Cody, Commander Wolffe, Commander Gree, Commander Bly, Commander Fox, Captain Fordo, Fives, Echo, Jesse, Kix, Hardcase, Tup, Dogma and Gregor.

The Bad Batch introduces Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, Echo and Omega.

Republic and Separatist designs include Republic Gunships, AT-TE Walkers, ARC-170 Starfighters, V-Wing Starfighters, Jedi Starfighters, Republic Attack Shuttles, Clone Turbo Tanks, Separatist AAT Tanks, Droid Gunships, Vulture Droids, Hyena Bombers and General Grievous’s spacecraft.

These machines offer possibilities for custom Clone Trooper legion markings, Jedi character colours, battle damage and alternative Republic designs.

Mandalorians, Bounty Hunters and Outer Rim Characters

The Mandalorian and bounty hunter side of Star Wars offers some of my favourite opportunities for unusual paint schemes.

Characters include Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Din Djarin, Grogu, Bo-Katan Kryze, Sabine Wren, Paz Vizsla, Pre Vizsla, The Armorer, Koska Reeves, Fennec Shand, Cad Bane, Bossk, Dengar, IG-88, IG-11, Greedo, Embo, Aurra Sing, Black Krrsantan and Hondo Ohnaka.

Vehicles include Slave I / Firespray Gunships, Razor Crest, N-1 Starfighters, Mandalorian Gauntlet Fighters, Kom’rk-Class Fighters, Speeder Bikes, Swoop Bikes, Sandcrawlers and other Outer Rim transports.

Character-themed designs can incorporate distinctive Mandalorian armour patterns, bounty hunter colours, personal insignia, worn metal surfaces and individually chosen decals.

Droids, Creatures and Classic Star Wars Characters

The wider Star Wars universe also includes R2-D2, C-3PO, BB-8, Chopper, BD-1, K-2SO, IG-11, Battle Droids, Super Battle Droids, Droidekas, Jawas, Tusken Raiders, Wookiees, Ewoks, Gamorrean Guards, Rancors and Jabba the Hutt.

These characters and creatures provide further possibilities for themed transports, bases, dioramas and unusual custom designs.

I also enjoy exploring famous Star Wars locations such as Tatooine, Hoth, Endor, Coruscant, Naboo, Kamino, Geonosis, Mustafar, Mandalore, Lothal, Scarif, Jedha, Nevarro, Ferrix, Bespin and the Death Star.

Individually Painted Star Wars Collectibles

I work with existing physical Star Wars toys and collectibles, including vintage Kenner and Hasbro spacecraft, Star Wars The Vintage Collection vehicles and other suitable pieces.

Every custom project involves a combination of airbrushing, hand painting, surface weathering, panel lining, paint chipping, scratches, oil streaks, grime, decals and mechanical detailing.

Some designs are based around individual Star Wars characters, while others explore alternative military colours, experimental prototypes, squadron markings, forgotten Imperial divisions, Rebel Alliance units or completely original spacecraft finishes.

My aim is to retain the recognisable shape and details of the original piece while creating a completely individual appearance.

My custom commissions include the painted vehicle, with a stand where applicable. Figures are not included unless specifically stated.
