When Obsidian Squadron is deployed, the Obsidian Talon flies at the point of the spear – a jet-black TIE that seems to appear out of deep space, weapon systems already hot as it drops into a killing spiral around its target.

Features:

  • One-of-a-kind hand-painted Imperial TIE starfighter
  • Designed to display with 3.75” style figures in and around the cockpit
  • Iconic hex-wing silhouette with central cockpit pod and menacing stance
  • Detailed cockpit viewport and exterior surface greebles brought to life with miniature-painting techniques
  • Any figures shown in photos are for atmosphere only and not included

Paint & Finish:

  • Deep, layered Obsidian black armour across wings and cockpit pod, built up over darker under-layers so the hull reads like real composite plating, not flat plastic
  • Subtle panel tone variations on wing frames and fuselage to keep the large surfaces visually rich and “in-universe”
  • Pale hull markings and inset panels carefully picked out to echo Imperial service stencils without breaking the stealth profile
  • Cockpit framing and wing braces sharply defined so the classic TIE geometry pops from every angle
  • Metallics on cannons, ports and mechanical details so the sculpted greebles catch the light like real hardware

Weathering & Battle Damage:

  • Heavy, campaign-worn finish to match an elite ace’s personal ship that’s survived dozens of sorties
  • Chipped and scuffed paint along leading edges, wing rims and the nose of the cockpit pod, with underlying metal tones and darker base layers showing through
  • Deep grime and pin-washes worked into panel lines, wing ribs and access hatches so the surface feels oily and hard-used up close
  • Carbon scoring and subtle heat staining around the cannon mounts and exhaust areas to suggest repeated overcharged firing passes
  • Directional streaks dragged back along the flight path to hint at atmospheric re-entries, brutal manoeuvres and debris impacts
  • Finished with a protective varnish layer to help lock in the paintwork for long-term display

Display:

On a stand above your shelf, parked in an Imperial hangar, or diving toward Rebel fighters in a diorama, the Obsidian Talon instantly reads as a ruthless specialist craft – the kind of shadow-black TIE reserved for pilots who never come back with anything less than a confirmed kill.

“If your scopes turn black and the only star left is a single incoming glint, you’re already in the Talon’s sights.” – Extract from an intercepted Rebel pilot debrief
