I finished this X-Wing as a one-off Death Star battle fighter, with the paintwork built around a hard-used Rebel machine rather than a clean factory finish.

I worked the surface with layered weathering, panel variation, sponge and edge chipping, grime and leading-edge wear, keeping the markings restrained so the classic X-Wing shape still carries the piece.
