I finished Bastion Sigma-9 as a fixed Warhammer 40K-style siege emplacement, built around the idea of a gun platform that has stayed on the line long after the surrounding battlefield collapsed.
The long central cannon, upper gun housings and fortress silhouette are worked with dark layered paint, shellshock wear, ash, grime, scorched metal and emergency-repair detail. I wanted it to feel ancient, overused and absolutely unwilling to stop firing.
